NCDC - 75 new Covid 19 cases

By Abdulrasaq kehinde Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has reported 75 additional lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in nine states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The NCDC announced on Saturday morning, through its verified website, that with the new statistics, the country's caseload reached 252,912 on Friday, and the death toll remained at 3,134 since the pandemic began. In addition, the country had 228 recoveries within the same time period, according to the agency. According to daily planet, 228,632 Nigerians have been successfully treated and released across the country. The following is a breakdown of the current COVID-19 data by state: Lagos-22, FCT-13, Rivers-8, Oyo-7, Yobe-7, Osun-6, Delta-3, Kaduna-3, Nasarawa-2, and Kano-1, according to the NCDC.

According to the statistics, over 20,000,000 Nigerians are currently suffering from various degrees of mental illness without the availability of enough psychiatric health care. According to Forbes, Dangote is worth an estimated $13.9 billion, which is up from $12.1 billion last year after a 30% increase in the stock price of his most valuable asset, Dangote Cement. By Lawal Kudirat Popular gospel artiste, Sammie Okposo, on Tuesday tendered a public apology to his wife, Ozioma, and his fans after he confessed to cheating on his wife.   The Wellu Wellu master, as he is fondly called, took to his Instagram account to reveal that when he travelled to the United States, he was involved in an intimate relationship with another woman.   This comes barely 24 hours after an American-based woman, identified as African Doll, accused the singer of impregnating her.   The woman revealed this on Monday while talking to a YouTuber on Obodo Oyibo TV, stating that Okposo abandoned her after she told him about the pregnancy.   Okposo in his apology said  " On my recent trip to the USA ( late 2021), I got intimately involved with a lady, knowing that this was not appropriate as a married man and a minister of the gospel. NAFDAC bans alcohol produced in PET bottles, sachet

The production and registration of alcohol in PET bottles and sachet across the country has been banned by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC).  This was disclosed in a statement issued by the agency through its Director General, Prof. Mojisola Ayeye on Monday, January 24.  In the statement, NAFDAC banned the registration of new alcoholic drinks containing over 30% of alcohol, produced in sachet and small volume PET and glass bottles.  This is due to a recommendation by a high powered committee within the Federal Ministry of Health, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission and Industry, and NAFDAC in December 2018. The announcement, signed on Monday by Lieutenant Colonel Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba and read by another officer on state television, said that the takeover had been carried out without violence and those detained were in a secure location. The statement was made in the name of a previously unheard of entity, the Patriotic Movement for Safeguard and Restoration or MPSR, its French language acronym. “MPSR, which includes all sections of the army, has decided to end President Kabore’s post today,” it said. Lagos.  By Alao Abiodun Rapid Response Squad (RRS), led by its Commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi on Monday evening arrested the two principal suspects in the constant clashes in Idumota and its environs. According to RRS on its official Twitter handle, the arrest was effected at a meeting where the two NURTW members along with some other stakeholders converged. Daily planet last week reported how the leadership tussle among factional members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) reportedly sparked the clash. Many residents ran helter and skelter, while traders deserted their shops and ran for their lives. This clash affected trading and other commercial activities on the Island. Russian military action anywhere in Ukraine would severely impact the embassy’s ability to provide consular services, including assistance to U.S. citizens in departing Ukraine, a State Department official told reporters on Sunday night. Sedef Kabas was arrested in Istanbul on Saturday following a live interview on the opposition TV channel Tele1 last Friday, according to Turkey's state broadcaster Turkish Radio and Television, TRT Haber. Daily planet  learnt that a leadership tussle among factional members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) reportedly sparked the clash. Many residents ran helter and skelter, while traders deserted their shops and ran for their lives. The hoodlums were seen brandishing dangerous weapons, such as cutlasses, guns, fighting themselves. Daily planet  correspondent further gathered that the clash, which started on Thursday evening, was between hoodlums from Idumota, Balogun, Martins and Oluwole areas of Lagos Island. It took the combined efforts of security operatives including the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) and Task Force to restore normalcy in the area.

Lagos gets new police commissioner, Alabi

Also, Cubana, on his Instagram page, disclosed that one Mr & Mrs Afuah, based in Canada, has placed Ekuma on a N100,000 monthly salary till he finishes his education. The incident was reported to have occurred at 8:30pm on 4th December, 2021. The car hijack attempt took place on the 18th December, when the alleged criminal was said to have attacked one Mr. Micheal at Amadiya area, along Ijaya road around 11 am.
