Hushpuppi To Get Sentenced on Valentine’s Day

Ramon Abass Olorunwa, aka Hushpuppi, will be sentenced on February 14, 2022, Valentine's Day, according to the United State Department of Justice.

According to an online medium, Neusroom, the 37 year old Nigerian social media influencer will know his fate come February 14, Valentine's Day, after almost spending two years in detention in Dubai.  

Hushpuppi  was arrested in the United Arab Emirates in June last year after local police raided his Dubai apartment.

According to the Dubai police, nearly $41 million in cash, 13 luxury cars valued at around $6.8 million, and phones and computer evidence containing more than 100,000 fraud files and the addresses of nearly two millions possible victim were found during the raid.

The FBI's investigation postulated that Hushpuppi finances his wealthy lifestyles through crime such as transnational network that facilitates computer intrusions, money laundering, fraudulent schemes and targeting victims around the world in order to steal hundreds of millions of dollars.

Mr. Ramon, aka Hushpuppi, may have to face the maximum prison sentence of nothing less than 20 years in the United States federal prison if convicted.
